4 weeks to go or less!

Yes, I am in my 36th week now. fuh!

It's been a fun journey and my little one has been a very good girl ;)

It's getting closer and I'm still in disbelief that I'm going to be a mummy soon.

My hubby has been getting labour dreams about me two nights in a row now. LOL.

I pray that everything goes well, smooth and safe for us both, and also for my hubby since he reluctantly agreed to be in the labour room when the time comes. haha.

I'm getting huge day by day! huhu. I wonder what's my weight so far. Susah jugak takde weighing scale machine at home.. 2 weeks ago during my regular check up, I found that I've gained 10kg throughout my pregnancy. ngeh ngeh...

ANYWAY!

Freedom of Expression

I'm bugged by a few issues at the moment and my mind is battling whether or not to post about it. I'm the type who likes to express everything in writing but would delete it later on if it seems too... hmm.. what do you say?... Personal or sensitive? =P Though I have to admit I did not delete few posts of mine with personal rants and opinions to release that frustration/anger in me because I do not regret it. Moreover, if I've been wronged or stepped on in any way, I would love to tenyehx2 you until I'm satisfied. But control and patience is virtue. ;P

Now I've come to a point where I do not know whether it is right or wrong to express myself openly. But to avoid committing any sins by hurting any party, I now opt to be neutral and keep it to myself and/or rant stuff to my husband instead. LOL.

Moving on, baby's doing fine so far (2 and a half months to go!). Mummy (and also Papa!) is also doing fine and getting rounder day by day. Regardless, I could eat ice cream everyday! Our prenatal class is on this coming Saturday and my parents will also be arriving this Saturday ;) At the same time that someone just have to go to Kota Bahru for a week court trial (again!) on Saturday night. All great timing. At least I won't be home alone again with my parents here ;)

We managed to get the baby's court, mattress and bedding set last Monday. Wehee~ ! The court has been installed safely by hubby and I've managed to wash all the baby's cloths and cloth diapers in advance. Which reminds me, I haven't packed my stuff yet (just in case).

Baby's been very very active lately and I get hungry easily nowadays. I'm even hungry now as I'm typing this. My belly button is already out! and sleeping attempts have been a little challenging but once I've dozed off, no problemo at all. ;P

What else, what else? I just have to keep my work on track and done in advance as my due date is getting closer. Other than that, the house must be ready and clean at all times. My guest room is almost complete. =D We just purchased a huge wardrobe recently with those cool halogen lighting attached to it. House is now more organized now that we have more storage space. Ngeh ngeh.... But my office is still disorganized... huhuhu...

That's how my baby's mouth moved when we saw ..... during our monthly check up scan last Saturday. hehee.... soooo cccuuuttteeee.... hubby managed to take a video of it too. gerammmsss! Luckily his Iphone didn't run out of battery that time cause we were busy playing fruit ninja trying to beat each other's score while waiting for our turn (one hour!) to meet the doctor =P So far, I'm still leading. YESSSSHH!!!!!!

I don't actually have anything to blog about. LOL.

I'm currently in my Labuan office. Been here since Monday and will be going back next Saturday. A few things to settle and take care of here within this 2 weeks. So far, it's been pleasant. I've been getting enough sleep and food unlike in KL! I'm liking it so far. But I miss my hubby already, our comfortable bed and cozy house... Nothing beats your own crib kan? ;)

Oh yesh, we went to the baby expo at Midvalley last week. Tersangat la crowded. We managed to get:

Baby Stuff

I can't think of anything else except for the stroller, car seat, baby cot, breast pump, diaper and baby bottles. ;P Oh yes, I need to get that Air Purifier machine for the room. This one is super important.

I saw the baby list of things to get for newborns, but most of it doesn't look necessary at all. Not to mention a waste of money. I say this cause I'm really out of money. LOL. But seriously? Even the unfortunate people still survive raising their kids with what they have. So? What's the big deal? Convenience la I guess. Hard to say juga, tak rase lagi kan? Belum rase, belum tahu... Huhuhu...

Just as I'm about to settle of my credit cards, ader jer commitment add on to it like buying my brother's flight ticketS, give allowance to my family, check up bills etc etc... It's so hard to be me... So be grateful if you didn't pay for your own wedding, still staying with your folks and savings + spending only for yourself and not obligated to give away your salary to anyone else.

For now, I am grateful that I am able to provide and pay all the monthly commitments. That's it. Tenang sikit hati. ;) But if things don't work out, then wallahuallam... I did the best I could. Ok, off topic dah.

We'll be going to the baby fair this weekend and hopefully I'll know what are the necessary things to get at a good bargain. Thankfully, our friends and family are willing to sponsor some baby stuff for us. ;P So hopefully, it'll ease the burden I have on my shoulders. They're too heavy I tell you.

Quickie:

- Felt baby movements within me since 3 weeks ago ;) owhh... somewhere there... lost track!

- Could see my stomach move as my baby moves/kicks/whatever it is that little one is doing in there beginning Raya Haji. Such a miracle! ;D

- I get worried so easily if I don't feel/see any baby movement nowadays

- I cry/ get teary way too easily this week because I'm scared (of I don't know what) and if I can see baby move whenever I call my baby love

- I love you more and more and more and more each day baby.. ;) i love papa also ;))

- I'm not ready for motherhood... ohh goshhh....

- Labour? ohhh myyy...... I think I just experienced minor contraction last week. Right on the dot like the book said. I never had period pain ever.... I wonder if I could stand the pain later on.

- We thought of going for the parenting/breathing class this weekend but we're too late! fully booked! January 2012 it is.

- I am 21 weeks now (5 months 1 week) ;)

- Everyone said my baby bump is so small (whatever ;P )

- Mummy have around 4 months before mummy losses her total freedom. Despite that I love you still.. hehee..

- We haven't bought any stuff yet (except for the stroller). Too early. I'll start in December or January. ;)

- Yes, we know baby's gender already since 22nd October 2011 ;) an unexpected surprise ;D but mummy will only be confident after our next scan in 10 days time. But the Dr seemed to be very sure about it during the 4d scan last month. Papa was confident about it too. Whatever it is, as long as you are healthy we are happy no matter what your gender is.

- To those who know already, secret2 yah ;)

- To you, yes you. You don't know me. You have issues with your X who happens to be related to me. You're about to get married so I've heard but you still like to bring up your past relationship with your X. Stop cursing my family especially hubby and my little one. Seriously? Don't even read my blog if you have ill feelings towards me or my family. SHU!! go away and get over with your past and stop involving me and my family in it. and seriously?! I seriously don't look like you... AT ALLLLL!!!! Yes, Allah is fair, he will be the judge of it all, not me or you or anyone else. Only Allah. So let it go and stop spreading fitnah. What comes around goes around.

Less is more

At times I tend to forget that it is our unnecessary wants that makes us feel miserable/incomplete in life. Like wanting a new laptop ;P ... Did I ever tell you that I am laptop person? If I am ridiculously rich, I'd get myself a new laptop every year. Hehe. Yes, I am that crazy towards laptops.

This week I came across a saying in FB that states:

"The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything."

If only I could remember that 24/7...

Anyway, the worldly material is not my issue. I am always a grateful person, it's just the wanting of something else that had made me a bit upset lately. For the past 3 weeks, I've been wanting my husband to come back home early (as in after office hours) and spend more time with me (moreover the fact that we had 3 special occasions every week in a row for the past 3 weeks - my birthday, his birthday and our 7th anniversary). It had been sometime since I've nagged about such thing, but being pregnant (excuses ;P), it had made me very emotional over this issue. haha. Yes, yes, I've been crying... I haven't cried like that for the longest time... Emo giler.... I did (and still do) sympathize him with the workload he had in the office, but yeah, it just took a toll on me and him I guess. Did I tell you, He worked on his birthday and that is was a Sunday? Fuh~ that was the bomb la.

Now that I'm in my second trimester (!!), no more nausea and fatigue phase, I am seriously more energetic nowadays! So I try to keep myself busy and organized and get rid of those ridiculous emotional feelings (though deep down inside me I still hope he'd spend more time at home than in the office). I have a lot of catching up to do with work. I need to deliver and perform better as I've been slacking for the past few weeks with my all-so-weak and nausea pregnancy phase. The feeling is a whole lot better now, moreover that I'm eating. Yes, I've gained weight! 2 nights ago, my husband said my face is so round. The next day I started exercising! Lights ones only as a start. It made me so energetic the whole day that I slept at 2am++ that day. Heh....

I have a bad habit to get rid of. I always sleep late and I can't seem to get myself to bed by 11pm. What more of 10pm and 9pm. It's always 12-1am and I know its not good for me and my baby... I mean duh... look at the time I posted this update of mine? ;P How can I get myself to bed early? Hurrrrmmm....

Speaking of baby, we got our lil' one his/her stroller earlier this week! Since we don't know its gender yet, we opted for a neutral colour, brown. Though I loved the deep dark purple stroller which my husband rejected to be too girlish and weird if it is a boy. ;P The brown one is not that bad actually - nice ;) got it at Midvalley. We bought the displayed set, so it was 20% off (weehee!). I think I'll start buying all the other baby stuff in December. By then, I'd be in my 7th month already and hopefully I've managed to save enough for our little one's stuff. Which reminds me, I'd better start cracking on the baby list and start surveying (online). Or is it too early?

Ok. I'll continue my story-mory tomorrow since I'll be home alone again! Somebody's going to advocacy training the whole day tomorrow and on Sunday.... SEE SEE?? ;P

It took only 3 seconds to wait and to find that I was pregnant. 4^th July 2011 at 10pm-ish, to be exact!

I missed my period by 2-3 days and my body was extremely hot that night. I thought my period would come eventually like it used to and thought of waiting for another few days before I decide to take a home pregnancy test (if my period still didn’t come by then). But curiosity just got ahead of me as usual! I was on the phone with my hubby when I told him that I might want to take the HPT. He asked that I wait till he gets back from Kota Bahru (he was there for a trial), but I decided to go ahead anyway. LOL.

I grabbed the Clearblue HPT from my drawer, read through the instructions carefully and took the test, and there it was, that extremely clear blue pregnant line. My heart started pumping like mad and I couldn’t believe the results. I took the HPT and laid it down on the floor for another few minutes to digest the news and to just really be sure about the results! The line was still there! I was literally jumping and I called my hubby straight away to deliver the news. He was overly excited about the results (and also mad because I didn’t wait for him to share that joy together ;P), to the extent of not being able to work that night. We couldn’t stop smiling and had sleeping difficulty ;P I was still a bit sceptical and thought of taking a second test to be sure of it 100%. Wanted to do another HPT but I only had that one HPT that night ;P

Thought about getting another HPT, I called up my brother in law and broke the news to him.. But it was getting too late and he was quite far away, so I decided to just wait till the next day.

The next morning, I went to KL Sentral, bought that expensive digital Clearblue HPT and went into the public toilet and took the test. The results didn’t come up immediately like the first one did. I had to wait for 2-3 minutes for the results and it was nerve wrecking! Results? Pregnant 3+! This time I was quite sure, plus I read about how reliable Clearblue HPT that night before. Took a picture of it and sent to hubby. My doubts slashed by 80% only (cause I read about medications that causes false results – not that I was under any medication, but still ;P). 20% of doubt left until I get a gynea to confirm it.

On 7^th July 2011, our doctor confirmed that I was roughly about 5 weeks pregnant! Amazed, happy and confused all at the same time! Lol.... We broke the news to our immediate families and was told to keep discreet about it because it’s still too early to be excited about it. But somebody just had to share that secret and so I told friends one by one. ;P by now I’m probably about 7 weeks +. Due date would probably be around my anniversary date. This is not yet confirmed, but it’s highly probable that it’s going to be a March 2012 – pieces dragon baby ;)

I know this stage is fragile but guys, please stop scaring me with all kinds of stories about miscarriage. If it happens, then perhaps, it’s not meant to be, maybe the embryo is not healthy or something. But whatever it is, please pray for me ya? ;) Till then, I’ll be taking my supplements diligently.

Morning sickness? Not that bad. Majority of my days are good. The bad ones is when I suffer from the nausea feeling the whole day! I get hungry every hour and I’ve put on 4kg already! Huhu.. And no one can mess with me when I’m hungry! That hunger that I have to go through is like the ones that you didn’t eat the whole day! Imagine going through that every hour! Goodness! I have no food cravings unlike my husband who is using it as an excuse ;P. Mornings can be hard to eat because my stomach is empty. I can’t eat too much or eat too late at night, or else, I’d vomit. I can’t eat chicken that much because it feels disgusting. The thought of cooking also disgusts me when I think about the spices and coconut milk to be added when cooking. What an excuse! Haha... I didn’t cook for 2 weeks plus but managed to cook chicken curry last night! Before that, fried rice only! ;P So yeay to this lazy mom to be! =P My food preference now is the mild, not to spicy and flavoured ones. I can’t really take flavoured dish because it makes me nausea. I’ve got a feeling that it’s going to be a boy (*tibex2*).... Hehe..

This entry is long enough to bore you. Just wanted to jot this down for my memory and share this happy news ;) Still can’t believe that I’m pregnant at times ;) Till then, see u when i see u.

I'M BACK!!!! For good, hopefully! O____O"

I just got back from Labuan today. Oh yes, went there last Sunday just to attend a meeting with my beloved client that following day, Monday. Instead of going back to KL straight away, I extended my stay so that I could do some work there and help my team out.

Much to my amazement, I'm glad I went back (I'm actually sick of travelling long distance). I finally got my mojo back. My mojo to work! Some sense of purpose! I was dying here... Working from home... Goodness! It requires more than I thought. It's mentally challenging and requires a super lot of discipline. I was beginning to question the purpose of my life since then. LOL. Nampak sangat spiritual tak kuat... I don't miss Labuan... I just missed my office and how much time I've spent my life there. hukhuk. And also my naughty sporty colleagues. Haish....

Anyways, changes are to be made! I need to be organized! Super organized so that I don't fall into that trap again. My home office needs to be set up immediately! Working on the dining table is not so motivational. Having all documents scattered everywhere in the dining area bugs me. It even bugs me when visitors "compliments" about it. IT'S NOT THAT BAD ACTUALLY. Haish. Need to shop for a wall fan for my home office after this. Look out for my home office! Weeheee!!!

If you've been following my blog, you might be wondering why I'm working from home and not Subang Taipan as I've mentioned earlier. Well, due to unavoidable circumstances and a blessed offer from my angel boss, I had to decline that particular job offer with a heavy heart. I was actually looking forward to work for s.i.m.e.d.a.r.b.y.p.r.o.p.e.r.t.y. but I had to continue what I was doing now for my family. ;) I feel so sorry for that at the same time. The lady boss that interviewed me was soo sooo nice, bubbly, supportive and friendly. Till now, I've kept imagining the things I could have learnt from her if I was there now... Oh well... Maybe next time? ...

Moving on.... Ladies! Let us all do our pap smear test annually ok! The statistics of women diagnosed/suffering from cervical cancer in Malaysia is quite high and I find this alarming. Please read up all you can about it from this website link. I believe there are a lot of sources on this, please take your time to learn about it. Prevention is better than cure! My beloved family member just got diagnosed with it, and it had made my family run wild. I don't know what stage she is on now cause she refuses all radiation scan/medical or chemotherapy treatment/radiation treatment that would only make things worst. She opted for natural healing by taking lots of prescribed supplements, alkaline water and ate only vegetables and fruits. She looks younger now and lost lots of weight! In fact, she's almost my weight! Not bad for a 59 year old kan. Hehe. Anyways, she's getting healthier and I am glad. ;) We heard a number of people underwent those expensive radioation treatment and chemotherepy treatment but still died. We also heard a number of people who didn't go for any treatment and lived life the fullest, but still survived till today and better, diagnosed cancer free. Miracle don't you think?! Sometimes, it's all in the state of mind (for example, the cure for eczema) and of course, Allah's powers.

Ok then... I've blurted enough. I need to draft a legal letter of advice that's been due for quite sometime. hehe..

Changes freak me out and honestly, it'll take time for me to adapt with a whole lot of new things with procrastination as my current best and leading trait at this moment (which isn't helping my situation)...

Marriage, cooking (!!), working, studies (omg!), my inability to drive in KL (due to lack of confidence!), home cleaning, balancing etc etc.. My god... I don't know... I seem confused all the time now... I am happy but confused at the same time... I don't know...

I've practically been living on my own two feet since I started working, so I don't know whats really bugging me... Could it be the sense of responsibility taking care of another? double work? double effort? double laundry (haha)? i don't know...

Like I said.. I am a confused and confusing person.

Hope I'll get out of this feeling or whatever it is fast...

We finally got our dining table and it makes me extremely happy cause the homey feeling has finally kicked in. ;) love it! I know it's different from my previous post but we got a good bargain for this marble table. Like 35% cheaper from its original price! Aside from that we also got ourselves the white book shelf that I've been eying on for months now. It's RM100 cheaper than the original price. The furniture shop that we got our bedroom set from is moving out, so they're clearing out all the stocks they have in their current shop. ;D Lucky? Ah' ha'.. ;)

Now that I'm going to start working in KL... I gonna need my mojo back... I think I lost it quite sometime ago... and I want it back so badly... huhu.... Aside from being super lazy, I get super tired and sick so easily nowadays... Not to mention that I've been having migraines a lot last week. Having migraines is always excruciating. Not nice at all. I spent my whole Saturday lying on the bed hoping that the migrane would go away but it didn't work. Late afternoon, I gave up and swallowed a pill of caffox to get ride of it. In about 2 hours after that, I recovered. Then only I was able to clean up my room and do whatever I want.... I despise taking pills... oh.... the damage it would to my kidney ;(

Anyways, The Unthinkable happened last week. I'm still pleasantly surprised by it. I feel blessed and scared at the same time. No, I'm not pregnant. LOL... It's work related. dot dot dot.. Not going to talk anything about work. Work is just work.

After more than a year keeping my hair long and barely untouched (trimming only), I finally got my hair layered yesterday. It feels soooo light! Initially I taught of having it cut short but then if I do, no one would take me seriously. Cause it'll makes me look like a teenager and in a working industry like mine, you just cant afford that. ;P

Don't feel like talking anymore.. hahaha.. oklah.. bye! ;)

I've not kept up with my promise... As usual... I've been too busy lazing around nothing... constantly cleaning the house, doing laundry (just a bit due to the unavailability of washing machine), cooked only one meal so far (ha-ha), medical check ups, traveled alone using public transportation to familiarize myself with Subang area for my new upcoming job there... Everything seems to be going so fast and furious since the wedding that I feel quite hard to catch my breath at times. Which brings me to my next question, how to you people survive here in KL?! Goodness! The traffic and the high cost of living especially! I can't even elaborate on that! Hish....

Anyways, I've got one story to share about yesterday's incident. I went to Subang via KTM and took the mini bus number 99 to get to Taipan. The journey took approximately 30 minutes to Taipan for only RM1 bus fare. The bus did reach Taipan alright but I did not go off... I just wanted to be sure that the bus does pass through my new office. So the bus went on to other routes and supposedly go back to Subang KTM in the end... Unfortunately that old mini bus that I was on had no strength to climb the fly over. It was actually pretty scary cause we were already half way through and after several attempts, the bus driver decided to reverse and take another route. Can you imagine doing reverse on a fly over and on a busy road? It was extremely crazy... Anyways, as the bus drove to Sunway, it began to brake down slowly that the driver just had to drop us at Sunway Pyramid. I shared a cab with a fellow Sabahan gal I just met to Carrefour Subang which is just in front of Subang KTM station. It was a tiring and scary experience. That experience made me doubt the reliability of mini bus 99 to Taipan. There are other buses like Rapid KL and Metro bus that do pass by Taipan... but I haven't explored that yet. Did you know that the taxi fare to Taipan from Subang KTM station is RM20!? Crazy...

Moving on... I know I've not talked about my wedding since my last post below.... What can I say? It turned out magically ;) It was beyond my expectation and original budget. Hehe. All I can say is that it turned out to be a beautiful, memorable ... and enjoyable (I think!). I still couldn't get myself to digest everything about it but so far that I've heard, most of our family and friends loved the decoration and dais and also the fun vibe of the wedding. It wasn't formal at all, there was no renjis ceremony as my dear husband is totally against it, we had a karaoke session towards the end, I made my brothers Melvin and Mark sing 2 songs of their choice, we made our brother and good friend become the MC of the day, made our brother from both sides of the family give a thank you speech. My brother broke down during his speech which naturally made me cry too! Luckily enough, it did not ruin my make up. Kudos Razak! Haha... After the cake cutting, my dear husband gave his speech to thank all that has helped us and also cracked a joke in the end. I didn't expect it at all but it was funny. He said...

"I was telling my friend Hari earlier that I am so happy today and that if I was a prime minister (in my head at this time I was like... omg! what is he going to say!?!?!), I would declare tomorrow as a public holiday. Unfortunately I am not a prime minister."

People laughed including myself. I did not see that coming. Memang bongok.... LOL....

I am head over heels for your purple dress! You make the most beautiful wedding dresses I've ever seen! Love your heavy beadings and variety of dress style and uniqueness. You saved myself from my own wedding by lending me that purple dress and accessories in less than a week notice! It was absolutely beautiful and shinny and it made me feel like a princess!

(My tailor made dress from Sabah didn't turn out the way I wanted it to be which had caused me an aching heart and headache! I advice brides to be out there to just rent a wedding dress from wherever you like. I would recommend Mass Kassim strongly! You should see his collection at Medan Mara! I would have saved a lot more just renting by a wedding dress rather than having it tailored made.. Moreover by renting, you can see the end results immediately! Sending your dress to a tailor/designer could be a bit risky. Seriously. This was my biggest lesson learnt over the entire wedding preparation. It was a frustrating experience...)

A hard working team which is also worthwhile to get for your wedding! Seen a piece of their work for our nikah video montage played at our wedding reception which I totally love ;) Will try to upload the video here if possible. Can wait for all the videos to be done! ;) I also hired them a year ago! and they're improved their skills tremendously ever since! Henna : Nafissa

I initially had someone else hired to do my henna but something came up and she wasn't able to do my henna on my preferred time and date. I panicked for a while there cause I don't know who else could do my henna until I remember my friend Nisa and Nad used the same henna designer called Nafissa. Asked Nisa for her contact details and I was fortunate to able to get her to do my henna the night before my nikah. It was a wonderful experience having henna drawn on my hands and feet for the very first time. Loved it ;) You can check her out from www.designerhennablogspot.com.

I have approximately 2 weeks left as a Miss and I am freaking out!!!! I've been too laid back for the past 3 months and I have tons of things unsettled!!!! Please pray for me.... Believe me not when I tell you that the dais and decoration for the reception have yet been settled. The hall's panel decorator apparently did something wrong that the management decided to replace them with someone else. And that someone else was an absolute surprise for me! If everything goes well with the new panel, insyallah everything will be fine =) ... The new panel was the first decorator I called when I just started surveying/preparing our wedding stuff which was approximately more than a year ago. I have faith on this new panel given their good track record. I just hope that they can produce a good outcome with the package we are paying for... =P If not, redha jer.... hahaha...

Anyways, as I've mentioned in my earlier post, I flew to KL last weekend. I mopped my apartment so many times till it was spotless clean. We bought a Belgian carpet from Ampang Point for our living room. Here's a sneak peak picture:

Ok. Please ignore the sliding door. We temporarily covered it with brown paper since there is no railing and curtains yet. Goodness... we've run out of resources... Seriously... No money anymore... So the apartment project will have to go on hold until I don't know when.. =P

The first thing I did upon arriving KL on the 1st of Feb was MAMAM ikan bakar belakang Istana with Dearest and his two lil' brothers. Apparently it's one of the place that sells delicious ikan bakar. I'm not really a food taster fan. I just eat eat eat whats in front of me ;P

After MAMAM session, we went straight to our apartment and got busy painting the doors white.

Haha. Still using florescent lights. No time to scout for the lights!

We bought a few stuff from Ikea on my third day in KL. Believe me not when I tell you that we spent 7 hours at Ikea (4 trips around Ikea). Haha. I just lurve looking at home stuff. I can go on and on more than 7 hours. Tak puas. Serious. Unlike shopping for hantaran gifts, I get all moody and cranky cause it's really just not my thing.

Ha! Dah complete and penuh! Dearest's Aunty gave all her old clay and crystal collections to us.

Hint hint: Please do not give us plate/glass as wedding gifts. Redundant jer nanti. hehe.

It's gonna be one "heaven" of a hectic month next month. This month itself is not excluded. But I'll be travelling back and forth to KL and KK next month and I pretty sure I'll drain out compared to this month. Haiya!!! I need a masseuse 24/7 can???

Just submitted my forms to JAWI Labuan last week and I should be able to collect the approval letter by this Friday. Pray that all goes well for I will need that letter allowing me to marry outside of Labuan for further submission to JAWI KL along with dearest's application. Hoo~~~ Last minute last minute last minute! I should have done this last month! too late!!! ;P

My boss just approved my 3 weeks leave in March yesterday. YAHOO!! They seemed surprised that we don't have any plans for honeymoon. Weird sangat kah? We don't feel like going anywhere but enjoying each others company for 2 weeks before I fly back to Labuan. We want to honeymoon at our apartment only. Rather than spending that money on travelling expenses, we prefer to save or furnish our apartment. ;) Cakap jer takde budget.... LOL.

Ok lah... I think it's best that I go home now.. I've been staying back for too long for quite sometime now. I should take a break - right! Ohh bonus... please come by end of this week, I want to clear off all my credit card debts completely and live a happy life - credit card debt free ;P

2011 by far has been a hectic one for me and it has only been 11 days.

My mind has been tied up with a lot of things lately that I wasn't able to settle myself down to jot down anything in my blog since my last post. I did managed to pen down my resolutions for 2011 last week though. But it'll remind P&C. ;P

First of all, I'd like to congratulate the newly weds, Neesa and Abdul! Thank you so much for inviting me and for the lovely invitation card but so so so sorry for not being able to attend the celebration of your auspicious day. The flight ticket was quite pricey and I'm a bit tight financially at the moment. But I pray for you both an everlasting happy marriage life together and may Allah bless the two of you until the end of time. =)

Secondly, I wish to share with you this amazing discovery made by my little brother. He found this website, www.sunnahfollowers.net about a month ago and he has been a avid follower ever since. You should listen to the recorded talks by the wonderful Sister Laila on diverse topics based on the Quran and Sunnah, or her live talks around 4.30am till 5.30am just before your subh prayers (East Malaysia time). After her live talks she'd usually conduct a Q&A session where we could ask her anything about Islam which she will answer to you directly and live. It's fantastic!

Thirdly, I can't believe the time I have left till my wedding day. I'm psyched! Not about the wedding, but to finally be with him and to live with him in a place where we can call our own (though we'll be apart again for the next few months)!! Harrrr.... ;P

Forth (ly?), the house renovation by our main contractor is finally done! Another contractor will be going to our place to install the new white door for our toilet. We have yet bought any lamps for all the rooms as we had no time and idea to scout for it ;P My dearest and my beloved brother in law and cousin to-be got our room painted lilac and the living room green just last week! I'm so happy about it though I've not seen it with my own eyes yet! Dearest have been updating me with the house progress through mms and it kills me to not be part of this whole process. =( What to do?

May tomorrow be a better day.

The end of 2010

2010 has been a roller coaster ride for me. Despite my complains, depression, down times and tears, I must not forget the bittersweet memories, life learning lessons and heart touching moments I had went through. So as they say, gratefulness is the key to happiness and learning is the key to improvise in life and whatever you do.

I began my year by getting engaged to my one and only love of 6 years relationship. The engagement gave me the most magical feeling that I had never felt. After all that we've been though our lives, it's just amazing that we're still together. Little did we know that the journey to tie the knot wasn't an easy one that we could just waltz into. It's true when they say you will go through a lot of hurdles in that journey to getting married. We were tested in so many ways and fortunately (so far) we are still surviving. As much as I have tormented him throughout the whole wedding preparation process with my behavior, he still stood by me patiently and lovingly. For this reason, he deserves a big round of applause for being that and being involved with all the tiring survey and decision making. I won't deny that this year has been mostly all about the wedding planning. So please bare with me. hehe...

Being in a bridezilla mode is c-r-a-z-y. I became overly sensitive over everything and I was quite temperamental, as in very indecisive about what I want. At one point I could go "nevermind, we'll have it as simple as possible according to our means" and I could suddenly go "I want to have it so called grand-grand. I want everything beautiful as I want them to be because it's just a once in a life time event and I want to really feel that moment, if you know what I mean". I was very defensive most of the time and I couldn't bare to hear words that would hurt me in anyway. There are things that I said and feel which I regret, but there are also things that I should remember not to say or do to my own daughter or niece if they were the bride to be.

In the end, after all that fuss and changing venues dilemma, we decided to do our solemnization ceremony at a mosque with no cost except for the food catering and hall rental fee. Yes, we decided to keep it down to earth. LOL. As for the reception, mind you its a 2 side event (my side and his side), so they plan to invite a lot of their relatives from Johor and so. The thought of doing it dome style poofed away (i.e vanished) as we won't be able to afford that kind of number for food and decoration etc. Just a few months away from the wedding (which I consider too short of a time), they decided to settle with the hall somewhere-somewhere which they have been eying on from the early phase of the wedding preparation that could accommodate the budget that we have. The catch is, they won't allow any third party decorator! We were compelled to go with their panel which had caused me to go cuckoo for the past few months. So I had to bid goodbye to Flora Etc. I really really really wanted them to do my wedding or at least the flower center piece decoration for the tables. As for now, I don't know what to expect for my reception. I don't know for certain how they can deliver their promises. I'm just going with the flow and let everything happen at this point. I try not to let it bother me as bad as it did for the past few months. So, I'm going to drop this subject now before that sucky feeling comes back.

We financed majority of the things ourselves, from the smallest to the big things. Fortunately, his Aunt was kind enough to sponsor us the reception door gift which would have caused us another headache. Things are going fine at the moment, both of us have sent our materials to our tailors and I pray hard that it'll turn out okay. =P Nope, we did not send them to any famous designers. I could just have a heart attack looking at their pricing! I know they're worth it but then again... So expensive... My make up will be done by none other than Razak again,who'll be flying all the way from Sabah just for us. I believe he'll deliver a good job as usual. With all that at hand, don't go expecting something big from our wedding as it'll be a simple one only. Haha. Just as long as we get married safely and decently.

Moving on to our apartment. We (ahem.. correction - my fiancee) have been busy doing minor renovation on that place. We installed grills on all the windows (yes, all! I'm a paranoid girl!), did plaster cornice in the living room and all 3 rooms, did the kitchen concrete with double sink and also half of the kitchen drawer set (couldn't afford the whole set yet), did hacking here and there for the lamp wiring and redo our toilet door (because the toilet is just too small). To date, we've bought a cooker, fridge, four ceiling fans, jet water pump and heater, 2 mattresses, one bed room set, paints for the living room and master room, and one air conditioner to start our lives with. Oh yes, and not forgetting a lcd tv which will be part of the hantaran. The apartment isn't ready yet and I can't wait to crash in it. I'm still trying to figure out how to buy the sofa, dining table and washing machine.... =P So much to spend on! Not forgetting the monthly utility bills and maintenance fee.. Fuuuhh~

Work has been kind to me so far (though December has been a super busy month for me!). I received a lot of blessings from Allah on this. I got promoted again but it comes with a truck load of responsibility and liability which still scares me. I do not know when to move to KL yet. I haven't even start hunting for a job in KL. With the wedding and apartment going on, I guess I'm not ready to take it all at one time because I don't know how the new working environment and style will do to me! So I plan to go about this one at a time. It would be sad though to not enjoy the first few months as newly weds together. It's just one of the things that we will have to go through soon. I just pray for the best.
